Date: May 7th, 1104 - Size: Medium - Location: A crossroads near Harran
Crusade: Period between 1st and 2nd Crusade
Scenario Briefing: Variant - Following the capture of Jerusalem in 1099, there were many skirmishes and some small-scale battles, but on this day, the Empire of the Seljuks would seek a large-scale battle to avenge their earlier defeats. The Crusaders were looking to expand their territory and set out to besiege and capture the Seljuq city of Harran. First on the scene was Baldwin II of Edessa and Joscelin of Courtenay. Needing assistance, Baldwin called upon both Bohemond I of Antioch and Tancred. They soon marched to Harran to join with Baldwin.
To counter this new threat, Jikirmish of Mosul and Sokman of Mardin, assembled an army to besiege Edessa. Given this threat to Edessa, Baldwin and his allies marched to relieve the siege on Edessa and were soon to encounter the Seljuks near the crossroads south of Harran.
This battle is a variant of the previous Battle of Harran. On the battlefield, all combatants are present and arrayed for battle.
Now, choose your preferred army and prepare to engage. To the victor goes the spoils!
Recommended Rules: [Default]
Intended to be played as the Crusader Alliance against the Fatimid Caliphate forces Islamic Alliance A/I, but can be played as either side or Head-to-Head.
