Date: May 25th, 1104 - Size: Small- Location: The city Acre

Crusade: Period between 1st and 2nd Crusade

Scenario Briefing: Following the failure to capture Acre in 1103, King Baldwin I was even more determined to take Acre and make it safer for Pilgrims coming from Europe to travel to Jerusalem. This time, the army of Baldwin will have the assistance of a 70-ship fleet from Genoa. This fleet will ensure that a relief fleet will not make it to Acre as it did in 1103. Note: For this scenario, though the ships are represented, their only purpose is to make their presence known. There is no need to try and move them.

For this 1104 attempt, there are fewer turns available, so make each one count. Also, just as in the previous 1103 siege, you should take command as King Baldwin I. You must endeavor to breach the walls and capture the city. Please note that victory is VERY unlikely if you cannot take control of the victory hex at 15,27. One last thing, your sappers are great miners and can certainly help you breach the walls, however, they are very vulnerable to projectile weapons. Be sure to eliminate the nearby wall defenders before bringing them into range of such weapons.

Remember, only units that have a strength of 75 or less may use a siege tower to reach a wall hex.
