May 16th ,1863 (Historical) -- After capturing Jackson and driving Johnston's army away to the north toward Canton, the Army of the Tennessee turns on Pemberton and Vicksburg. Hoping to sever the rail connections with the rest of the Confedracy, Grant drives on Edwards Station. Pemberton, who is hoping to link up with Johnston, is caught on the move and hurriedly assembles a patchwork defense along Jackson Creek. The previously washed out Raymond Road bridge over Jackson Creek is being repaired in case retreat is necessary.

A large map with few units.. And VP hexes maybe too far from the actual battlefield, which may cause players to detach units to hunut points far off from the battle scene.
Could have gone either way.
The scenario is a good one for starters in the civil war series.
Union stacked up to attack the Rebel left that has 700 vp's right on the edge of the forward positions. Poorly designed for balance.
