This scenario actually is pretty good. I believe as the french player that it favours the french. Problem is that it is very easy to overextend vs the allies. Further I really am a poor player!

Austrians begin under pressure and face the unavoidable loss of all of Piacenza's siege guns and attendant VP's but Melas get considerable infantry and particularly cavalry reinforcements so the Austrians seem to hold the advantage later on
