16-19 October 1813 - Historical - Intended to be played Head to Head - This scenario depicts all of actions of the Battle of Leipzig to include the 17th which was a day of inactivity for the most part (it rained rather heavily and the Allies needed rest after the large actions of the 16th). By the 19th Napoleon was looking to retreat towards his depots and the Rhine. The Allied player should not find it strange that the French player may decide to exit his army rather than lose a Major Victory. In that case the battle should be a French Minor Defeat since Napoleon has conceded the battle. Suggested rules: no night turn attacks with movement limited to redeployment behind the front lines. It also would be best to consider that the heavy rain of the 17th will render muskets useless. The players could also use an orders system so that the fog of war on the battlefield keeps them from instantly reacting to movement on other portions of the battlefield. Note: There are exit hexes for each NATION on the map. In order to earn Victory Points a unit that exits must do so using the exit hex for that NATION. Finally, the ammunition levels have not been increased from the Three Days of Leipzig scenario levels. This is to depict the problem both sides would face with ammunition resupply by the final days of the battle.

In saying Well Balanced, I refer to the actual fighting. The Victory Conditions however are way too high.....the allies have to beat the French whilst minimizing their own losses, then spend countless turns exiting the map. It would be better to have no exit hexes and a far reduced VP - the destruction of the enemy army becomes an end in itself.
