14 October 1806 (What-if) The third phase of the Battle of Auerstedt began with the renewal of the attack on Hassenhausen and the arrival of Morand's division. Friant had taken up position on the right after Blucher's cavalry had fled the field. Gudin's division which had sustained heavy losses was still holding the left. Morand's division would post on the left and help lead the counterattack. This scenario will conclude the series of scenarios designed to help the players better understand the battle. The French will have to try and equal the historical record of Davout. The Prussians will need to keep their army intact and avoid a rout. This is a variant of H04_4 - it features no Prussian brigade leaders. It favors the French player in that command control will be more difficult for the Prussians. Intended for head to head play.
