078. Eylau: Davout's Attack - Part 1 - WDS Campaign Eylau-Friedland

8 February 1807 - Historical - Intended to be played Head to Head - This scenario depicts the first part of Davout's flanking attack. Friant and Morand's divisions along with support from St. Hilaire, made the initial attack on the Russian left flank. Opposing them were Baggovut's force at Sarpalen and Galitzin's cavalry. For four hours the fighting raged. It was only when Gudin arrived that Davout finally had the upper hand. However, by then the Russians had moved other troops to the left flank. This scenario ends just before Gudin's division makes their appearance.
