C05 abens5a6a2f2 Austrian bid for glory - WDS Campaign Eckmuhl

2 April 1809 - Napoleon and the Army of Germany are assembled around Rohr. The French Emperor plans an attack that will crush the Austrian middle. Leading the attack will be the IV Corps under Marshall Massena. Meanwhile the Austrians have gotten wind of the plan and have deployed Hiller on the left along with the III Corps to stop the attack and to launch a counterattack of their own! Marshall Davout is off to the north holding off the Austrian I and II Corps near Thann and will not be involved in the fighting. If Napoleon cannot defeat the Austrians, then Davout's III Corps will have to capitulate! Various formations of Allies and Austrians may appear on the northern edge of the map in either retreat (Arnhofen) or pursuit (Grossmus)!
