Date: 29 December 1778 - Scale/Size: Battalion Level, Small - Location: Savannah, Georgia, ~110 miles South of Charleston, South Carolina and ~180 miles North of St. Augustine, Florida.
Scenario Briefing: Historical - It took a few days for the British ships to clear the sand bar at Tybee Island, but by December 29th, they were up the Savannah River and had begun unloading troops. Light Infantry quickly secured the landing area, and by noon, Lieutenant Colonel Archibald Campbell’s force was underway. Before launching a frontal attack against what was deemed ‘sound defenses’, Campbell learned of an alternate flanking route through the swamps and dispatched a portion of his force to take that, surprising the Americans and unhinging the defense.
Recommended Rules: [Default]
Intended to be played as the Crown forces against the AI but can be played from either side or Head-to-Head.
