Historical Overview: In the early morning hours of the 22nd of June 1941, German forces of Army Group South crossed the border and headed for Kiev. Scenario Overview: This scenario ends just before the arrival of Panzer Group 2 north of Kiev. The Axis player must balance his desire to encircle Soviet units against the rate of advance needed to obtain key objectives. The Soviet player must salvage whatever mechanised units he can from the frontier battles, assign them to his best generals, and then use them to prevent the Axis capturing key objectives. There are several river lines that can be used to delay the Axis.
