Historical Overview:
As Vasilevsky defeated the Axis at Stalingrad, Zhukov sought to do the same to Army Group Centre. However Zhukov didn't have the advantage of being able to launch his initial attacks against poor quality Axis allies in order to break through the German defensive lines.

Scenario Overview:
This scenario recreates the Soviet Operation Mars. The Soviet player should initially seek to bring about the destruction of the German 9th Army by cutting off the Rzhev salient. An Axis player should seek to hold on to the towns of Rzhev, Velikiye Luki, Vyasma, Vitebsk and Smolensk.
