30 September 1941 to 20 April 1942

Historical Overview:
Operation Typhoon is launched by the Axis to capture Moscow. As the Axis offensive grinds to a halt, the Soviets initiate a massive, winter-long counteroffensive.

Scenario Overview:
As in the shorter Operation Typhoon scenario, the Axis player has 2 turns of clear weather to encircle the bulk of the Soviet forces, then 4 turns of mud to get into position, for 3 turns of snow to secure the objectives.
Unlike Typhoon, the Axis player must then hold the line all winter.

The Soviet player must recover from catastrophic losses to form defences that will keep the Axis away from their objectives, while building forces to launch the winter counteroffensive.
