Patton's 3rd Army with CCB in the lead elements have successfully capured the bridges across the Moselinto Germany in tact and moved into the Saarland pushing south towards Saarbrucken. The Germans dug in near Nenning have fromed pockets of resistance and await reenforcements from what is left of the Gross Deutschland Division. Historically the Allies captured the bridges and Reenforcements from Pattons CCB moved into Germany where bitter fighting continued through his drive into the Saarland. For historical integrity you will find the bridges undestroyable.

This scenario is a battle that pits an initially weak german force against a fairly strong American one. The difficulty in the scenario for the Americans is to know when to quit attacking and start defending. As the Germans gain strength throughout the battle, they must determine when to quit defending and start attacking - the opposite of the allies. German artillery a bit too strong.
Thus, what is of supreme importance in war is to attack the enemy's strategy.

Intense scenario. Both sides have the opportunity to be the attacker and the defender. A real see-saw battle.
