You are behind schedule. However, your primary objectives, the Ambleve River bridge at Stavelot and the Ambleve and Salm River bridges at Trois Ponts are still within your grasp. Now is the time of decision. Failure to take these bridges intact will force you to find another, more indirect route to the Meuse. Be forewarned: strong American reinforcements are arriving on the battlefield.
