Sidi Omar, 30km SW of Sollum, Libya: [Best played against human opponent] Fighting during the first days of Operation Battleaxe had impressed upon Rommel the toughness of the British Matilda. Though the British advance had been halted, the Afrika Korps' panzers had been unable to push them back. In an effort to grab control of the battle, Rommel elected to drive south through the desert around the 8th Army's west flank, then east to attack its rear. In order to protect his flank, Wavell sent 7th Armored Division to intercept. As the 5th Light approached Sidi Omar, a series of running battles took place, leaving a trail of broken tanks and vehicles through the desert, before the 7th Armoured retired to the east for the night.

Balanced, yet it's kinda hard as the Axis given that you need to take those VPs in the south trenchs and town to win.

Germans need to really hustle to pull this off, and shoot up some Brits on the way. Allies should do a slow pullback and delay ultimately concentrating for a showdown at Sidi Omar

Victory conditions for this scenario need to be re-worked. As it stands, there is no incentive for the Allied player to stand and fight. The Germans can take all of the victory hexes on the map, and still be short of the points needed for victory. All the Allied player needs to do is withdraw his forces off the map and it's a guaranteed Allied victory.

Great scenario that can go either way.
