Chatel, 45km SSE of Nancy, France: [Best played against Human opponent] While the infantry divisions of the US XV Corps prepared to push across the Moselle River south of Nancy following a week long drive from the Marne, the task of screening the southern flank fell to the scattered formations of the French 2nd Armored Division. Not to be left behind by the Americans, General Leclerc instructed Colonel Billotte, commanding Tactical Group V, to seize a crossing at Chatel during the night of 15 September. By the afternoon of the 16th the first tanks of the 501st Tank Regiment were beginning to cross the river when Captain Touflet's light tank company reported German armor approaching from the southeast. The enemy formation was Kampfgruppe Boltze, from the 111 Panzer Brigade, rushing to smash the French bridgehead before it could be consolidated and expanded. For Lt. Col. Libaud, who had once tested the steel of his tanks against the Germans in 1940 at Origny, it was time to test the courage of a new generation of French tankers against the deadly panzers.

Very even match
Remko van den Berg
the allies have to many tanks, even when the axis had all most every tank in a single attack from high ground couldn't break through the french lines, who used only half the number of tanks at it's disposal
glazarou
Although the balance is with the Allies here, this is a nice complex map with some good and fun options for both sides.
glazarou
A nice spotting/sighting exercise. Although not very balanced, it is a lot of fun to play.
glazarou
Although it favors the Allies, it is a very interesting scenario with good options for both sides. Lot's of fun to play.

internal lines make this seem allied balanced, but the Germans can use that too.
