**One Lost Battalion - The Matrix Games version of West Front

[H2H Hypothetical HISB] Churchill sends aid to Greece leaving thin lines of pickets to watch over the defeated Italians. The Brits knew that the Germans sent reinforcements to bolster the Italian forces and not allow the Brits to capture all of North Afrika. Churchill believed that the Germans were to prevent the capture of Tunisia.Then came Rommel. No one, either Brit nor Italian, knew what Rommel had in mind. Sending one force of mixed German and Italians down the coast road toward Benghazi, Rommel then ordered the bulk of his Panzers to drive across desert and cut off the British retreat. Little did Rommel know that part of the Indian Division got itself lost in the desert hills North of Mechili. It's frantic radio messages were heard by friend and foe alike. Rommel's intention was to drive around any resistance and cut off the bulk of the Brits retreating along the coast road. No plan survives first contact. The Indian troopers were to find out that their plans of survival were to be tested by the same equation.
