Cranbrook, 63km SE of London [Hypothetical; Best played vs Human opponent]: Six days after the invasion German forces were advancing toward Ironsides Stopline at Maidstone. Along the German's southern flank, however, the 17th Infantry Division was engaged with some mopping up activity. The 953rd Infantry Regiment and the 17th Recon Battalion were lightly spread out in and around the town of Cranbrook to act as a security blanket for the division's artillery and headquarters. The other two regiments were far ahead of the pack, advancing on Dorking and Leatherhead to try and break through the defensive belt south of London. The British, probing forward with the 45th Infantry Division near Hastings and Rye, found a weak point in the invaders' flank. Leading the counterattack are the 5th Guards Infantry Brigade supported by a battalion of tanks known by their crews as the "Iron Maidens", a ragtag group of heavy and medium tanks which had escaped south after the battle of Canterbury.
