Bonninghardt Ridge, 10km S of Xanten, Germany: [Best played as Allied] After months of bitter fighting the Germans were finally driven from the Rhineland and compressed into an ever shrinking bridgehead near Xanten. Screened by a covering force unger Oberst Karst, a mix of veteran paras and Luftwaffe Field units dug in and fought to hold the Allies at bay along Bonninghardt ridge. Elements of the Irish Guards from both Canadian and British divisions engaged in a terrible struggle that came to be known as "The Irish Corpse Party." The battle would mark the last German stand West of the Rhine.

very tough for the attacking allied player but lots of fun nonetheless

Some Allied units are placed on the map in a haphazard fashion. Commander units are not with their troops. Some are even directly before the enemy and exposed to fire. Reinforcements are facing the wrong way and well apart from their commands on the other side of the map.\r\nI have yet to play the original but, the remake needs work.

This scenario was modified and was done so in a sloppy fashion. Allied set up is confused and messy. Whatever was done tipped the balance in favor of the Allies. Maybe indicating that Extreme Assault must be used would help the Germans?
