In Süddeutschland rücken freifranzösische und amerikanische Verbände ohne nennenswerten Widerstand vor. Doch die deutsche Führung hat noch ein As im Ärmel. Monatelang wurden in der sogenannten Alpenfestung modernste Angriffswaffen und Treibstoff gehortet. Selbst Jäger und Jagdbomber stehen in großer Zahl in unterirdischen Bunkern bereit. Am 18. April 1945 ergeht der Angriffsbefehl an die neu aufgestellte 172. Panzergrenadier-Division und die Kampfgruppe Alpen. Erste lokale Ziele: Sicherung des Industriegebietes von Calmstadt, Rückgewinnung der Städte Tulpenheim und Pfaffenhausen. Codename der Offensive ist "Alpenglühen".

I couldn\'t read the description but this is obviously a hypothetical scenario. I like even this kind of scenario to have at least some semblance of reality which this one does not. If the germans could mount this sort of force in April 1945 they should have won the war.

To many big guns for the Germans.
The Allies have little chance of success in this scenario. Their morale is poor, a 5. Axis have alot of AA so allied airpower is useless. Allied reinforcements arrive in a forest with no transport at the edge of the map. Objective hexes are not worth capturing or defending as their value is too low. Axis forces have an impressive array of firepower, with enough units to win the whole war
