This scenario is based on a scenario from the GDW boardgame "Blood and Thunder", When Giants fought. The game also includes a version of the "Tigers in the snow" scenario in this game. This is a follow up to it. The 61st Tank Brigade, equipped with light T-60 tanks, had been mauled by the 502nd Tiger Batallion near Leningrad two years earlier. Now redesignated the 30th Guards Brigade, the 61st meets the 502nd in a rematch. The 502nd is now equipped with Tiger II's, while the 61st has been re-equipped with IS-2 "Stalin" tanks.
