Zsamek, 31km W of Budapest Hungary: [Best played against Human opponent] This is the first scenario is a series of scenarios dealing with Operation Konrad I, II, and III. December 1944 saw the 2nd and 3rd Ukranian Fronts encircle 70,000 troops of the 9th SS Gebirgs Korps in Budapest. Never one to shirk from a "prestige battle", Hitler ordered the 4th SS Panzer Korps from eastern Germany south to relieve Budapest. Operation Konrad I was launched early on New Years day 1945 spearheaded by the crack Waffen-SS panzer divisions "Totenkopf" and "Wiking" alongside numerous army panzer divisions. By the 4th the "Wiking" was outside the major road junction of Biscke. If the "Wiking" troops could capture the lateral road from Tynne to Biscke and the main road network beyond Biscke, German supply troubles and advance options would open greatly. However in their path stood the newly arrived 41st Guards Rifle Division with a strong network of anti-tank guns.

a tough battle for the germans with strong ivan defensive postions....the weather does not help much either!
Periander
German player has to protect his infantry!
XLVIII Pz. Korp
Very tough for the German player. Requires a balance of speed and caution. Moving too far too fast can leave you drowning in a sea of hidden Soviet AT guns. Lots of fun.
Periander
German's have to be very careful not to get trapped, poor start leads to an irrecoverable position.
Big Dawg
Russian artillary is huge in game.

Oberst
Allies must use shoot & scoot tactics, fall back slowly. Soviet inf units are quite fragile against Axis arty & inf units.
Death~Dealer
Concentration of Panthers, King Tigers, good visibility and plentiful artillery works against the Soviet players concentration of ATGs, giving the Axis player a slight advantage.

Even for a skilled defender it's quite difficult to stop the german AFV.
I've suffered heavy casulties in the 1st half, (got stopped dead in my tracks/ major loss) and after a total regroup and flanking mission still was able to turn it into a minor victory.
