Gorki: [Best Played vs Human Opponent or Team 2+2]: Following the successful crossing of the Dnepr, the 10. Panzer Division was instructed to advance through the night towards Gorki towards Yelnia to maintain the element of surprise. Defending the approaches and the town were elements of the 13th Army, in particular the 137 Infantry Division with heavy artillery assets. The early morning hours found the 10. Panzer advancing steadily towards Gorki, and after sustaining heavy casualties finally secured the town. These casualties were the cause of two things, the mass artillery and new tactics used by the Russians. They no longer stood and fought, but increasingly used partisan tactics practiced later on by large partisan forces, such as Force Belov in 1942. It was lessons like this that enabled the 10. Panzer to prevail in the impending battles. [2.04 UPDATE]

Victory conditions need fixing. Axis player can take all of the victory hexes on the map and will still be far from any kind of victory. As currently constructed, there is no motivation at all for Allied player to commit his troops to battle.
