Odessa, Ukraine: [Best Played vs Human Opponent]: Realizing that the Russians have been evacuating their forces from the port of Odessa, the Rumanians launch a full scale offensive to seize the city and its port facilities. On the morning of October 16, 1941, the 7. Infantry Division attacked from the city from the south and met light resistance. By evening, forward elements of the division secured the port buildings and captured the remained 12,000 men and material left behind in Odessa. For the heroic efforts of the Russians who fought and died there, the government awarded Odessa with the title of "Hero City". A title only to be shared by three other cities; Stalingrad, Moscow and Leningrad.
