Gertova, S of Leningrad: [Best played against Human opponent] Throughout the winter of '42-43, the Soviets launched repeated attacks to relieve the siege of Leningrad. The hard-pressed Germans rebuffed one attack after another, but in so doing, their lines became progressively thinner. Finally the Germans were forced to develop a tripwire defense of light local forces, backed by mobile units, which could be quickly dispatched to a threatened sector. One such "Fire Brigade" was the 1st Company, 502nd Tiger Battalion, commanded by ace tanker Captain Hans Bolter. Near Gertova, Bolter's Tigers were called upon to halt a major Russian armored incursion by a battalion of the 122nd Tank Brigade. This scenario is our version of Squad Leader's "The Paw of the Tiger."

i think this is a tough match for the germans. as the ivan player - you must learn to use your armour in hunting packs.

Not long enough.

Needs some balance work done. Russians need some tank riders and mortars in their OOB.

but the reds need a little more inf. and art.
I would have sold my 76 mm anti-tank cannon for a mortar in this scenario

Interesting for the Allies (Russians). Axis has to react, so mostly waiting for what the Russians develop.
