Red Devils - The Matrix Games version of East Front II

(Hypothetical Scenario designed for tourney play) 26 September, 1943. Col Borodinov's 193rd Airborne Brigade is dropped far behind the lines of the German 10th Army at the small railway town of Golkin Kol. Its mission is to cut the railway and supply lines at the Golackin River and hold those crossings until the arrival of General Earlmanov's 30 Guards Tank Army, fresh from its crushing victory in the Shadow Valley campaign.The only German forces in the immediate area are some light Flak units and the 1st Battalion, SS Freiwilligen Grenadier Regiment 72 -- a semi-motorised formation more used to fighting Partisans. Now its orders are to rush to the area and take on some real Russian elite troops.
