Kopys, Dnepr River: [Best Played vs Human Opponent]: 'A silken thread' was how von Kluge described Guderian's plans to proceed over the Dnepr River and on to Smolensk. The first phase of this plan was the initial crossing of the river. The river was to be crossed in three places; Kopys, Shklov and Staryy Bykhov. In the 29. Motorized Infantry Divisions crossing location at Kopys, the crossings were under constant attack from the air and by artillery. Although the men of the 11. Motorized Engineer Battalion and 71. Motorized Infantry Regiment managed to cross and establish a bridgehead; they were constantly harassed and counterattacked by the Russian 18th Rifle Division. [2.04 UPDATE]

German infantry and pioneers have better firepower than the Russian infantry, but the Russians have good defensive terrain, a numerical advantage, and strong artillery assets.

I think this would be played bet with EA on.
The Soviets are easily overpowered in the river crossing and then get pushed around by superior artillery and direct fire.
