The German 14th Panzer Corps after resting and reinforcing, renew the offensive towards Stalingrad, assisted with Stuka attacks and nebelwerfers in a pincer move to cutoff the dug-in Russian Rifle Brigades around the town of Orlovka. The 16th Panzer Kampfgruppe launches another drive into the suburbs, storming the "Big & Little Mushroom" fortifications which blocked the approaches to the city.
