Hill 110, 25km NW Odessa: [Best Played vs Human Opponent]: At 03:00 in the early morning of August 19th, 1941 the Rumanian Army launches a surprise night attack on Hill 110. The attack utilized the cover of darkness and was started without artillery preparation. As the Rumanian 9. Infantry Regiment slammed into the defending Russian Regimental lines, bitter hand to hand clashes became the standard mode of fighting for the hilltop. By sunrise the Rumanians had advanced a meager 750 metres and were finally ground to a halt. The fighting would continue throughout the entire day.
