Mogilev, Russia: [Best Played vs Human Opponent]: After crossing the Dnepr River, the Gross Deutschland Regiment was given the task of guarding the northeast and east flank of Mogilev to prevent breakout into the rear of Panzer Gruppe 2. Little was to be found as the recon elements of GD advanced south from the bridgehead. The battalion set up two screening positions to the east of Mogilev and waited for the infantry of the Regiment to follow up. A hastily formed unit of motorized infantry from 132nd Rifle Division was collected and used to form the attack group for a counterattack as part of Marshal Timoshenko's Counterattack Plan. Supported by heavy artillery the Russians would attack northeast hoping to punch through the thin line still being formed by the Gross Deutschland Regiment. [2.04 UPDATE]
