Division of forces were difficult for the defender. Linear defencive position was unrealistic. Too many reinforcements had to "walk" from great distances, though they often arrived on time.
Some reinforcements arrived "fixed", far away from the action, loaded, and eventually blocked the entrance hex.

German victory almost impossible with EA on.

The scenario is frustrating for Germans until they break through initial 2 defense lines. If they manage to do it in under 20-30 turns with favorable loss ratio they have a go at winning this one. If they suffer too many losses in the process or are too slow breaking through the initial defenses then they loose. Must be played with EA off, otherwise Germans do not stand a slightest chance.

started out very nice.
Germans have to attack on open ground
under a very large amount of Artillery
Russians have great defensive positions
also, was used expertly by my opponent.
