[This scenario is intended to be played with the Blitzkrieg EFII expansion pack installed]: Odessa, Ukraine: [Best Played vs Human Opponent]: During the early morning hours of October 16, 1941 a full scale attacked by the 4th Rumanian Army to seize the city of Odessa. In the 1st Army Corp sector to the northwest of the city, elements of the 11. and 2. Infantry Divisions were to pierce the lines and attack with full force into the outskirts of northern Odessa. By 1100 the 2. Infantry Division had cleared a path through the antitank obstacles and mines and were prepared to take Hill 62. On their left flank was the breakthrough force of 2. Dorobanti Regiment pushing through the small town of Fomina Balka. Russian resistance was light as the forces advanced into the outer areas. As the 11. Infantry Division proceeded into the city, resistance grew stronger, the remaining Russian infantry of the 95th Infantry Division regrouped and counterattacked with the remaining tanks left in the pocket. The heavy artillery ammunition was to be spent on this final attack against the Rumanians. As the final ships left the harbour, the Russians felt as though they had nothing to lose.
