Arvold's Honor - The Matrix Games version of East Front II

Russian Tank Raid: Action south of Verkhne-Kumskii: During the German drive to relieve Stalingrad in Operation Wintergale, the Russians would send independent mechanized units behind German lines to attack supply depots in order to disrupt the operation. In the raids before this date, the Russians met with success. However on this day the Germans prepared a trap for the Russians by heavily reinforcing the main supply depot for the 6th Panzer Division and then "accidentally" giving away its position on the radio, knowing full well that the Russians were monitoring all known German radio frequencies. Sure enough the Russians took the bait and sent a large combat group to attack it. Defending the depot was Kampfgruppe Arvold, whose commander Lt Col Arvold swore on his honor and reputation that he would stop the raids once and for all.
