Roslavl, Russia: [Best Played vs Human Opponent]: Roslavl, a small city on the Oster River, would prove to be a genuine battle of encirclement. The plan was simple. Two infantry corps would attack along the frontline from the north and northwest while 4. Panzer Division would act as the southern hook and pierce into the Russian rear, linking up with the 292. Infantry Division on the east side of Roslavl, thereby encircling en masse Russian troops. The Panzer Division was giving two objectives for their offensive; the capture of Roslavl and, more importantly, to clear the Roslavl-Moscow highway to the Northeast of Roslavl. Advancing deep behind Russian lines, the division focused on its objectives while providing basic security for its flanks. The Russian 50th Infantry Division, which was emplaced in the area, was taken by surprise as the tanks of the 4. Panzer Division came rolling into the city. [2.04 UPDATE]

Victory conditions need to be re-worked. Less than halfway through the game, the Axis player had a minor victory, and without taking a single objective hex.

Victory conditions need work.
German side doesn't have to close to do enough damage to get victory. Results in potshots to win. Minor victory for Germans without ever having to take an objective.
