During the Malvinas / Falkland war, the combination of Super Etendard and AM-39 exocet missiles was a real threat that put operation corporate at risk.
One of the measures considered to eliminate this threat was Operation Mikado.
It involved several operations, reconaissance by small special forces groups led by Chilean pathfinders inserted by helos from the west, SBS recon and sabotage departing from Oberon class submarines, and assault options in the form of a SAS group aboard a RAF C-130 posing as a FAA Hercules that would land at the runway and will try to inflict as much damage as possible to the combat aircraft on the base.
Real attempts of executing reconaissance from land and sea happened but these intents were aborted because of a strong defense plan by the Argentine marines. This plan involved a bataillon of marines reinforced by sapper elements close to the base and constant patrolling of an area of 5km around the base by mobile elements.
This hypotetic scenario depicts a "reinforced Mikado" version of the raid on the air base. The British player has at his disposition two reinforced airborne para companies, a small amphibious support element, naval artillery and preliminary SEAD airstrikes.
The Argentinean garrison is composed of a reinforced marine company and military police patrolling the town near the airbase.
The British player must destroy all the ordnance bunkers and depots close to the objective flags.
The Argentinean player must prevent the British to accomplish his objectives.
Mikado V 1.2
Now I figured out how to put landed planes. Unfortunately the closest thing to a MBDA Super Etendard are 5 x MiG 17's on the "utility vehicle" OOB of the red player. This version also have waypoints for the British, in case you want to play on the Argentinean side.
