"The Test" - SB-WW2 Mod

[Russia, 1 July, 1942]: Hypothetical based on the original scenario by Rich Hamilton. I had redone the scenario to include a mix of armor not available when Rich made it, that the Germans fielded in 1942, even added one Pz IVF2, which at the time was just getting sent out to front line units. I got my German butt handed to me even so, then decided to make this "The Test", the story of Max And Moritz, two experimental Tank destroyers sent to Russia to see how they would perform.\ With the cancellation of the VK3001 project intended to compliment the Pz III and Pz IV, two of the prototype vehicles were made available for conversion into heavy Panzerjager. This was accomplished by mounting the 128mm K40 L/61 anti-tank gun on a pedastal mount on the VK3001 hull. This was then protected by a rather heavily armored superstructure, although open-topped. Both examples of Pz Sfl V, or Sturer Emil were sent to Russia and used as long-range tank killers, their 128mm gun allowing them to kill any tank the Russians fielded at ranges well beyond those that could be achieved by the Russian guns.\ This is their story...
