Gave it a 9 for challenge for the Soviet side.

It is the most difficult scenario for the Russians that I have played. I would place it between being moderately and totally pro axis. As that is not a choice I have chosen moderately pro axis. In terms of challenge I give it a 3 since I interpret challenging to mean difficult but having a somewhat reasonable chance to win. I am not sure that is the case with this scenario.

I think the balance of scenario is the mud
and the amount of turns. I always fall about 1 to 2 turns short.

Lots of mud for the Soviets to cross, they will need to bring their A game.

General Mud isn't on the Soviets side. :)

This was a fun scenario. It fell apart quite rapidly for the defenders once it went, but up until then I'd been feeling pretty good. However, the defenders probably need to hide longer than I did and be a bit more decisive as to where to place assets once forced to move.

This was the most unbalanced RV scenario I have played! The Russian, as the attacker, must cross open areas in mud conditions against 4x setup Axis MGs, 2x Stugs, 1x Marder, 1x 75mm AT, 2x 75mm infantry guns, multiple German squads, 9x 105mm howitzers barrages, AND the Axis receives 2x Panthers as reinforcements! It's a blood bath for the Russians and for the Axis it's like shooting fish in a barrel. It may have been historically accurate, but it sure isn't any fun to play from either side! Will NOT be playing this one again.
