Date: September 1st, 1939 - Size: Large - Location: Northern Poland
Intended for play as Axis Human vs Allied AI or Head to Head
Scenario Briefing: Straddling either side of the Polish Corridor, Fedor von Bock's Army Group North was tasked with multiple objectives in the opening stages of Fall Weiss. 3rd Army was to advance out of East Prussia and fall on Warsaw from the north while 4th Army seized the Polish Corridor and established a direct link between East Prussia to the rest of Germany. Von Bock's thirteen divisions were opposed by just seven full divisions of Army Pomorze and Army Modlin. Badly outnumbered and outgunned, there was no possibility of the Pomorze and Modlin armies stopping Von Bock's invasion force at the border, but a spirited defense could delay the enemy and buy precious time for the Polish mobilization.
Recommended Rules: (Default)
Alternative Assault Resolution, Artillery Set Up, Recon Spotting, Virtual Supply Trucks, Optional Surrender, Low Visibility Air Effects, Quality Fatigue Modifier, Counter Battery Fire, Night Fatigue, Programmed Weather.
Additionally, Delayed Disruption Reporting will provide a more challenging experience for the attacking player.
Design Notes:
1. The high-value objectives behind the Vistula and Narew rivers are not needed for a German victory, but will likely guarantee that the German player will win if captured.
2. This scenario uses conditional reinforcements. The arrival of some Polish reinforcements are tied to control of certain objective hexes.
