Date: March 14, 1945 - Size: Small - Location: 90 km SW of Budapest.

Scenario Briefing: The 12th SS-Panzer Division gained a small bridgehead across the Sio canal, west of Simontornya, on March 12. After being reinforced on March 13 by elements of the 1st SS-Panzer Division (I./SS-PanzerGrenadier Regiment 1 and SS-Panzer Recon Battalion 1) along with tanks and engineers of the 12th SS-Panzer Division they set out to attack towards Mosi Hill, the dominant elevation in the area, and the canal crossings above the village of Nemedi. However, the Soviets launched heavy counterattacks later that day, forcing a delay in the advance into the hills.
Fighting continued for 36 hours on the hill, especially at point 253, and at the canal crossings and finally the German spearhead was stopped on March 15.
The next day, the Soviets launched the Vienna Offensive Operation and the bridgehead was evacuated shortly thereafter.
