Designer Notes: This scenario simulates the breakthrough and advance of the right wing of the Voronezh Front and the German Panzer Divisions' counterattacks to try to close the gaps made in the PzAOk.4's positions, from the German perspective. The VII.AK, initially part of AOK.2, was attached to PzAOK.4 throughout August 3rd, 1943. In this scenario, it is attached to PzAOK.4 from the beginning.

Scenario Briefing: The 38th, 40th and 27th Armies formed the right wing of the Voronezh Front. After the initial attack of the left wing in the direction of Borisovka and Belgorod, the right wing was to attack on August 5th with 2 armies, the 40th and 27th, in order to protect the flank of the main attack. Three days later, on August 8th, the 38th Army would also move into action towards the important communications junction of Sumy. The Germans had in this area the VII.AK and the XLVIII.PzK of Hoth's PzAOK.4, defending their positions from before Operation Zitadelle. PzAOK.4 had two panzer divisions in reserve, the 7th and the 11th.
