Operation Herbststurm, 7 September 1944: Though the German situation in Belgium was dire, it
was not irretrievable. Montgomery's day- long halt order to XXX Corps had bought Student
valuable time to organize behind the Albert Canal and additional reinforcements were on the way.
If 15. Armee could extricate itself from its immediate peril, it could concentrate on a narrower and
narrower front as it retreated toward Zeelandic Flanders. The days of easy Allied victories were
over and from September 7 forward they were to encounter ever-increasing resistance...
[Size: Large]
In this hypothetical variant of the scenario the Allies' primary objective is the destruction of the 15.
Armee. Objective hexes have been placed to encourage the Allied player to focus on encircling that
army while XXX Corps' advance to the Dutch border has been deemphasized.
This scenario must be played with the "Virtual Supply Trucks" and "Extended Patrolling" optional
rules.

Super hard for the Allies to win. Low Allied morale makes it difficult to sustain an attack. I think this models history but makes for a real slog.
