Starosel’ye, 20kms NE of Bobruysk, June 25th 1944: Combat in the 3rd and 48th Armies, just north of Rogachev, continued as the Germans counter-attacked to drive the Russians back over the Drut River. But, by the morning of June 25th, several bridges had been established and part of the 9th Tank Corps had already been committed to the attack. The German line had been strengthened by the 20.Panzer Division, but it was barely holding. The rush to get to Bobruysk was on in earnest. tick tock, it's about the clock.
Fast is fine, but accuracy is everything.- Wyatt Earp

German player must withdraw and retreat to avoid being pummeled by the overwhelming Russian armor, infantry, artillery, and air power. A key to an effective Axis defense is to combine both the PzG. Regt. 112 (500 men) and the 9.Aok Reserve (70 Pzkw IVg)to be used as a mobile reserve. These two units, entrenched in town hexes will enjoy a 50% defensive advantage while dealing out massive attacks against the advancing Soviets. Between equal skilled players, the scenario is balanced. A recommended Minsk '44 scenario!

Axis player has to balance delay against losses. Not much chance for him to do any attacking against a good Russian player.
