Klin, 75kms NW of Moscow, Nov 20th 1941: The 7th Panzer Division reached the road to Klin but could not press on without support. Then the 14th Motorized Infantry Division made contact with both the 6th and 7th Pz Divs. This completed the mechanized units of the LVI Pz Korps and they proceeded to advance on Klin and the Moskva-Volga canal. The 16th Soviet Army, under the command of Lt Gen Rokossovsky, fought a delaying battle to the east, mining much of the territory they gave up. Rokossovsky personally took charge of the defense of Klin. [Size, medium] Designer Note: This scenario is Best played Head-to-Head.

A two-day storm ruined the Axis chances. There are some interesting choices for each player.

Both of my playings of this scenario have witnessed wretched weather that slowed the game to a crawl. Control of the primary roads is pivotal.

Well, it is perhaps due to the fact that the game reflects realistically the gaping differences between the forces confronted that the Soviets are here on the receiving end again and all the time.
