Salerno Beachhead, September 13th 1943: By the morning of September 13th, General von Vietinghoff, Commander of the German Tenth Army, was confident that he could summon all his strength and drive the Allies from the beachhead. Smokescreens near Battipaglia, and radio intercepts, suggested the Americans were considering withdrawal. And while he was not certain of this, he believed the enemy could no longer withstand a heavy, focused attack at the junction of both corps. [Size Medium] Designer Note: Allied Player is Side One, but the Germans are the attackers in this scenario and must take the objectives to deny the Allied player while not losing any more Axis held objectives.
