Gaulle planned to lash out at the German columns once more on the 19th, this time further west at
Crécy-sur-Serre. Though his scratch 4e DCr had been reinforced by a chasseur battalion, artillery,
and additional tanks, the way would not be easy. The German infantry were advancing rapidly from
