0705_05: Seize Maloarkhangelsk - PzC 07 Kursk '43

Central Front on the north face of the Kursk Bulge, July 5th 1943: The German XXIII Corps, on the eastern flank of the Ninth Army, was given the task to confuse the Soviets as to the real German focal point of the attack by attempting to seize the town of Maloarkhangelsk. The effort failed to make a major penetration, and the defenders not only halted the drive, but launched local counterattacks along the front.
