Spring 218 B.C. Battle of Tannetum {What-if} After retreating to Tannetum to escape the Boii, Praetor Lucius Manlius decides to take the Gauls on in an open battle. His Legio I and 'Socii' (allies of Rome) number nearly 10,000 men. Drawing up across the field the Boii and Insurbes bring some 11,000 men to oppose him.
