Bussaco 27 September 1810 - Unlike the two historical assaults of Ney and Reynier, this "what if" scenario allows Massena to attack in strength with the entire French army. The scenario uses gun sections, thus representing howizers and allowing the guns to be deployed more accurately than compact batteries would permit.

My concern is that it was just a slugfest. Hitting a brick wall, as it probably was in reality. But not very edifying and not enough time to do anything except attack frontally. A flanking move was only developing at the game end, from both sides. Both sides could have stayed put and saved the lives of 50,000 men and horses for the same result. Attacking a well defended position at 1:1 odds is simply suicidal. I don't think many of those objectives are attainable, but that may be simply the same map is used for several options. I think the result can only be a draw in this scenario assuming the players of more or less equal ability.
