C Company took more than 20 casualties as they crossed Darwin Hill, including the company commander and his signallers. Reece and Patrol Platoons took cover near the river while the reserve platoon retreated back over Darwin Hill after taking several loses. D Company had pushed east after taking Boca Hill taking minimal loses. 10th Platoon assaulted some recently abandoned trenches near the airfield, but was stopped by friendly machine gun fire as well AA fire from the Argentines. 11th and 12th platoons moved east in dead ground. 12th platoon pushed on towards the "Flagpole Position," while 11th and command group neared the Schoolhouse.
