Second Chance - Divided Ground - Vietnam

Second Chance. Hypothetical. (best played as US). A Seal team was inserted to watch a fishing village on a tributary of the Mekong River. They reported back that there was extensive VC activity and rumours of a large weapons cache. Meanwhile a Ranger unit pulled into the inlet while on a riverine patrol, they were not aware that The Cavalry were in the air, only minutes from their location with the intention of finally rooting out the VC from this area. The only suitable terrain in the area for an insertion was designated as LZ Mason. It looked down on the inlet and the village, but worringly was itself overlooked by Hill 100. This was the US troops second chance to take out the VC, the Marines had been badly mauled at Hill 100 two years previously in an unsupported attack. Now it was the turn of the Cavalry.
